Terms & Conditions Between the Pupil and Ace Driving School

  1. Two offers cannot be taken together.
  2. Lessons start and finish at the same location. For new or beginner learners, the instructor may need to drive
    the pupil to a quiet location. This journey time is part of the lesson.
  3. ADS accepts no liability for personal property left in a vehicle.
  4. Please give 24 hours’ notice to cancel a lesson or you will be charged a cancellation fee. (This is the cost of
    your lesson).
  5. ADS instructors reserve the right to refuse use of the car for a practical test to any student who the instructor deems not to be at test standard.
  6. Advance payments are non-refundable and you must take your lessons within 12 months.
  7. ADS cannot take responsibility for money paid to the driving instructor.
  8. Prices and offers may change without any prior notice. ADS reserves the right to withdraw or amend any offers
    or prices at any time.
  9. All our vehicles are regularly checked and roadworthy. We cannot take responsibility for vehicle failure which
    may occur during or on the day of your test.
  10. Priority is given to driving tests. Therefore it may be necessary to cancel your lesson at short notice.
  11. Your instructor reserves the right to postpone or cancel your lesson under certain circumstances (for example
    mechanical, traffic, accident and weather conditions. etc). Your lesson may be cancelled at short notice and will be
    rescheduled as soon as possible.
  12. Your instructor will try their utmost best to ensure that your lessons start and finish on time.
  13. ADS is not responsible for test cancelled by DVSA. Therefore the lessons and use of car fee for the booked
    period will be charged. Your instructor will advise you how to claim compensation from the DVSA.
  14. All pupils must hold a current, valid UK provisional or full driving license for category B if they wish to take
    lessons which must be produced on their first lesson. The learner must also check that they can read a car
    number plate at a distance of 20.5 meters (about 5 car lengths) with glasses if normally worn.
  15. If the instructor thinks the student is unfit to drive, then the instructor will cancel the lesson. Pupil will be
    charged for the lesson booked. This may be for a number of reasons, for example drink, drug, mental health and wellbeing, etc.
  16. If you have any comments, suggestions or complaints regarding your instructor or driving school, please
    call or email.
  17. ADS reserves the right to ask pupils to take an alcohol or drug test.
  18. ADS adheres to the driving law, and all pupils must follow law while driving our vehicles.
  19. Mobile phone must be switched off whilst the driving lesson is being conducted.
  20. ADS instructors do not take any responsibility for anyone who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You
    are responsible for your own actions.
